Opting for the turbo engine for the 2014 Hyundai Sonata also brings a sporty, dual-zone automatic climate control escape. The Sonata premium package adds a sunroof, a warning system of blind spots, a 10-speaker audio system dimensions and a navigation system with 8-inch touchscreen. When added to the non-turbo SE also includes dual-zone automatic climate control.
Plush Limited 2014 Hyundai Sonata begins with the most standard and optional features of the SE including Premium Navigation Package less. The 2014 Hyundai Sonata base shows some cost cutting inside, using plastic panels too raw for some surfaces, but higher levels compare very well to finish rivals obvious segment. As expected, the Limited version with its color combinations available in two-tone trim piano black, is particularly attractive. In all Sonatas, the dash and center stack of melted together in a continuous flow, while the trapezoidal strong blue backlight vents create the modern upscale environment.
On the infotainment front, the new 4.3-inch touch screen is not very big, but provides deeper functionality Sonatas lacking the optional navigation system. The navigation system is not cheap, but its unique 8-inch touch screen interface and enhanced cabin Sonata, give even more of a sense of art. As expected in this segment, the 2014 Hyundai Sonata offers ample legroom for four adults on a long trip, and their luggage must fit into the trunk of 16.4 cubic feet. However, headroom front and rear is only right, in our experience, and 6 footers in the back may find their heads rubbing the ceiling due to the dramatically sloping roofline of the Sonata.
The 2014 Hyundai Sonata is equipped with a four-cylinder 2.4-liter rated at 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque, while the dual exhaust SE with the same engine makes 192 HP and 181 lbs- foot. A six-speed automatic that sends power to the front wheels is the only transmission. You can expect 0-60 mph in about 8 seconds, which is pretty fast for a family sedan-based model. Sonatas with 2.4-liter engine has a fuel economy rating estimated by the EPA of 28 mpg combined.
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder rated at 274 HP and 269 lb-ft of torque is available on SE and Limited. The sprints 2.0T to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds, which is the average of the mid-size sedans with an engine update. The EPA pegs fuel savings combined 26 mpg.

In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests, the 2014 Hyundai Sonata earned a rating for frontal-offset moderate overlap, lateral protection and cover-force impact. In the new test frontal-offset impact small overlap between the IIHS, the Sonata was only considered marginal though to be fair, many vehicles have struggled with this relatively new test. In the brake testing, either a turbo 2014 Hyundai Sonata came to a stop from 60 mph in about 120 feet, which is better than the class average pinch.
